LSAG Qualifying Show Schedule is below and reflects the information provided to us by our 16 independently operated leagues.
Qualifying for Convention Qualifiers include any "Best" ribbon as well as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and FIRST Honorable Mention (maximum of ONE of each in each category/ division as determined appropriate by the judge). NOTE: Regular Honorable Mentions do NOT qualify under any circumstance. Attention League Leadership: Please check first for the cutoff date before making spring show plans & adjust your schedule accordingly. (See Next Paragraph) With the way the database is designed & operates, we are not able to carry over shows from the previous year to the following year.
Convention can be held anytime between May and July & must be coordinated with the President and 2nd VP Shows/ Database. The 2018 Convention will be held in May. See Convention 2018 page on this website for updates during the year. NOTE: The last date that a spring show can be held is April 21 with all show wins to be recorded in the database by the closing date of April 25. Registration for convention opens that same week, so it is imperative that if you want your wins to qualify for convention, they must be in the system by April 25. No exceptions.
Database Getting to the Database: To enter a show that takes online registration, go to the SHOW drop down menu & click on ENTER. You will find the LSAG Prospectus for all shows. Know the prospectus; your use of the database acknowledges your compliance with it. Find the DATABASE LINK on the same page. Your Agreement to the LSAG Prospectus & Use of the Database: ALL shows using the database are subject to the LSAG Prospectus on the ENTER page of this website. To have a piece qualify for the LSAG Convention show, it must meet all LSAG rules & guidelines as outlined in OUR prospectus (not as modified by a league's prospectus). Use of the database is your acknowledgement that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the LSAG prospectus. If your show allows pieces OUTSIDE of LSAG rules (ie-nudes, gore, violence, profanity, or special categories like copies or collaborations), you may NOT add these to the database --not in entering them in a show and not in receiving acknowledgement of an award. The league will have to have an alternative method for entering your piece and recording your win.
If you have problems with the database login: 1-See our Database Help page under Shows. Most issues can be resolved by reading this page. 2-Contact your HOME league's Database Manager. If you are having a problem with entering an LSAG show other than that of your home league, contact the DM for the show you are entering. 3- If it is beyond the assistance of your league's DM or other show DM, contact our current 2nd VP of Shows / Database -- firstname.lastname@example.org. If it is an emergency or you are unable to reach anyone, you may contact the Database Assistant -- email@example.com .
Deadline for reporting winners on the database: According to the LSAG Constitution/ By Laws, show wins should be reported within 10 days of the show results. This impacts information other shows need to know to determine if a piece is qualified for their show or not. (ie-If a piece won 1st place or a 'Best of' award at your show, it is NOT eligible to participate in any other LSAG show.)
How the Database Operates: The way the database program is written & the way the system operates & is used to manage the convention show, information gets wiped from the system at the end of the convention & in preparation for the new year. So show wins canNOT be held over to the next year.
